14.12.2009 BillBery 3.0 announced

JeraSoft Development announces the upcoming BillBery 3.0 release. This is the most major update for quite some time, which brings lots of improvements to existing features along with some new big additions. This BillBery release will be officially presented on ITEXPO 2010, which will take place on January 20-22 at Miami Beach Convention Center.

We'd like to give you a quick overview of important changes.

Major changes

Rate tables and code decks handling

The main change in BillBery 3.0 is full reworking of former code deck/code group system. This system, although functional, was not very convenient to use because you had to create separate decks for each customer or hold all code groups-codes inside single deck, what led to issues with code groups contents doubling, inability to sort codes outside of code groups, inability to delete the code deck or code group without long rerating process etc. All of this, under some conditions of providing services, led to unneeded hassle while working with BillBery. So now we decided to improve this in the following way:

  • All rate tables are building by codes now (they were building by code groups before);
  • All code decks now serve as code name reference books for codes. Therefore, since it's only a reference book, you can easily connect any code deck to any rate table, sever such connection or quickly delete any code deck;
  • Rate tables now display destination codes, and also destination names picked from connected code deck;
  • All statistical reports now display information as destination code picked from rate table + destination name picked from any desirable code deck.

This great change now allows you to have only one major reference book (a code deck), where all possible links of «destination code – destination name» will be stored, which will automatically update itself with new such links as you import new rates, and that will allow you to have generalized statistics and invoices imaging.

Interface rework

As one of the most “visible” changes, we present you a redux of current web-interface. It's not done from scratch, rather it's putting the old interface to the right direction of increased effectiveness and convenience. Also, improved interface speed and compatibility with browsers.

Dynamic Routing support

In this BillBery release we altered a dynamical routing feature a bit, so now it has become available to Sansay switch family and any other switch. Also, DR Analysis tool now provides details about current number translations and capacity in real-time.

Number Translations

Now BillBery features a brand-new function – built-in number translation tool. Now you will be able to translate incoming or outgoing numbers before or after client identification is completed, what leads to much more flexible routing and billing policies (for example, some switching equipment is unable to perform number translations and some providers may require you to send calls in specific format). This is really useful when your switch does not support number translations or you operate a network which consists of different switch models and manage all translations from interface of BillBery.

Callshops module

As an extension of existing functionality of BillBery, we present you a built-in callshop module. It is used to manage a network of callshops and provides all tools, which are needed in this kind of business. And of course, your callshops will benefit from all other BillBery functions (such as dynamic routing for example).

XML-RPC API

The development of BilllBery integration possibilities led us to realizing that XML-RPC will offer that edge, which is needed today. So, here we present you the full support and provisioning of XML-RPC API, so now BillBery can be virtually integrated with anything.

Application Server

Due to release of XML-PRC API, we've introduced Application Server for support of such applications as callback, click-to-call and others. This will allow you to develop your own VoIP applications, integrate them will BillBery and bill accordingly.
